Not a Lot of People Know This

One of uur favourite ice breakers is great to 'warm-up' a group of people at the start of a workshop or a team building event.  We ask people to write down something that no-one else in the room knows about.  Often we have people who have worked alongside each other for many years finding out new, interesting and sometimes eye brow raising facts about their colleagues and friends.  Here are some of our favourites ...

I was arrested for under-age drinking
I was a passenger in a Bubble Car that overturned in town.  We simply rolled it back on its wheels and carried on our way! 
I lived in a tree-house in Negril, Jamaica for 3 months
I was in the Army from 1949 to 1957 
I was run over by a lorry
I was stood dinner by Charlie Kray (elder brother of the Kray twins) all the while not knowing who he was 
In the late eighties I got caught with a friend in a full-scale riot in Athens.  The city centre was sealed off and we had to break into a clothe shop for the night

I was looked up for 24hours in an Army Jail in Thornton
I nearly drowned in deep mud when I was 7 years old

I once had to iron Fred Elliot's trousers (the larger than life Coronation Street character) and they were so big I needed to use two ironing boards. – this person worked in a hotel at the time!

I flew over Mount Kilimanjaro in 1993 on a jumbo with only 6 people on board
I spent 2 days stuck in transit at Cairo airport the day President Sadat of Egypt was assassinated
As a child I opened a bottle of cod liver oil capsules and with a razor blade opened every one to empty the liquid out. In doing so I cut every finger tip
I was arrested in Poland for having the wrong sort of bus ticket
