Red Nose for Red Vanilla

We're going to be facilitating a team away-day for Comic Relief's London based HR team in September.  We're not charging Comic Relief for this work so this is a small Red Vanilla contribution to the valuable work they do.  The phrase "it shoudl be fun" comes to mind !

Working with Sheffield Children's Hospital

We are working with the Governors of the Sheffield Children's Hospital NHS Foundation Trust to help them identify ways they can provide more strategic direction to the hospital's Board of Directors.  We will be facilitating a joint away-day with the Hospital's Governors and Directors in October 2010.

What Shape Are You?

We presented our "What Shape Are You?" session to the Annual General Meeting of the European Young Bar Association (www.eyba.org) in Sheffield on the 11th June 2010.  We received some positive feedback combined with useful feedback about changes we can make.

Was there anything that we could have done differently

I wish I could provide some useful feedback....but I found it just perfect

Did you feel we delivered to your expectations

much beyond expectations

How useful do you think your delegates found the session

extremely interesting

Any other comments – is there anything else we might find helpful to know

maybe it would be useful to integrate the educational materials on how to deal with each shape, eg dos and don’ts for each shape/character

Due to Circumstances beyond our control....

We normally like to update our news page with items about Red Vanilla.   However, we're a bit behind with things this month as Jon and family 'endured' an additional week's holiday in Corfu courtesy of Easyjet, an Icelandic Volcano and the ash cloud which according to some national media 'never was'.

Investors in People Success

We are delighted  that following our Investors in People assessment by Julie Connell of Yorkshire and Humberside Assessment Limited we have been re-accredited as an Investors in People organisation.  Red Vanilla has grown since our first IIP assessment and this time our small but growing team of associates were involved in the assessment process.

Sheffield Hallam University - Team Away-Day

On the 6th January over 30 Student Information Processes team members managed to get to Kelham Island Museum for an away-day despite several inches of snow still being on the ground.   We've never used Kelham Island Museum, Sheffield  as a training venue before but we were delighted by the customer care provided by the friendly staff and the large room in the Education centre provided an excellent informal space for the day.

Do you have staff at risk of redundnacy in 2010?
We've got an effective Interviewee Skills workshop that can help.

We've developed a half-day Interviewee Skills workshop giving those staff at risk of redundancy or redployment an opportunity to practice their interview skills.  Many people, particularly those in the public sector,  have not been for an interview for several years and the threat of redundancy or redpolyment can be especially worrying.

Our interactive half-day course really helps boost people's confidence and gives them a chance to consider how to best 'sell' themselves in an interview.  We've got our first 2010 booking for this workshop from a team within Sheffield City Council.
This half-day workshop is available for £450 plus VAT or we can run two workshops back to back on the same day for £700 plus VAT.
